This month’s “Council 9 Day of Action” will be a Mobilization Table outside of DENSW on Thursday March 17th from 11am-4pm. Your local AFA Officers will be available with mobilizing information, contract negotiations updates, and addressing your questions and concerns. [We’ll be the ones wearin’ o’ the green!]

Many of our members from Denver and across the system will be traveling to Washington, DC to attend the RALLY FOR REST and won’t be back in time for our usual picketing event activities. Mobilizing for such an important event will make a tremendous impact on our Flight Attendant profession. At Council 9, we still wanted to recognize providing our members valuable information for our current contract negotiations as well as being available for your questions. Stop by the table to talk! Wear your AFA pin as always to send our message of solidarity.

In addition, DIA is in the process of reviewing/revising the picketing/leafleting regulations and I will be attending the public hearing on Monday for this review. Since our Denver Flight Attendants have been the primary participants for the last several months informing our customers of the lack of a productive contract negotiations during a period of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in profits, it is interesting that DIA is reviewing their rules – more liberal or less restrictive…anxious to hear. I believe we DO make a difference when our members raise their voices in protest!
